PitchFest is different.
Don't worry, the traditional workshops will be available a week before PitchFest and our trainers will be there in person, for a chance to ask them questions face to face. These workshops will be available in a closed networking group that will be facilitated for connection and growth before and after the event!
The day will start with soft skills training on networking. All good fundraising starts with strong connections. Shortly after this training, we host our first networking session! This is your chance to meet the consultants who hosted online workshops, other nonprofit partners, and our judges, who will include funders from your community.
With keynote Calvin Anderson, NFL Player, Mathematician, Investor & Husband.
And then we have The Pitch. We'll have a variety of categories for mini-grant winners. Each winner will receive a $750 grant to reach their organization's goals.
We'll close out the day with a final networking session. Collaborate. Connect with others you heard pitches from. Lend support to those whom you share affinities with. Or simply make lasting connections and friends who can help you and your organization grow for years to come. Most nonprofit events are centered around traditional learning, workshops, slides and lessons for later, but we want you to be able to put your new skills to work.
Nonprofits can pitch, too!
Submit 60-second or less pitch about what you need supported! This could be your entire organization, a program, an idea, or even yourself!!
Then come ready to share in 60 seconds and be ready to make your ask at the end of that 60 seconds. Nonprofits need to ask for what they need, be comfortable in making requests, and know that some people will say yes and some people will say no.
You'll get to practice in a supportive environment without any pressure and network with your peers afterward about what you did great and where you might be able to incrementally improve.
Sponsoring PitchFest means supporting nonprofits!
100% of sponsorships and donated dollars will go directly to nonprofits competing in “The Pitch”.
50% of all donations will go towards an unrestricted grant pool and 50% of donations will provide in-kind services to Blueprint, My Board Assistant, and other consulting services.
